Zynga Poker Facebook Game Strategy

Zynga Poker is one of the most popular Facebook game. Here’s a guide in acing the game although this would depend entirely on your own decisions.
Bear in mind that this strategy is intended for zynga poker and play money, not real money.
If you want to play poker for real, why not give PlayPoker a try?
A. Early stages, blinds less than 50/100
Fold everything apart from the following:
AA, KK, QQ, JJ — Raise these hard preflop, an absurd amount in relation to the blinds (eg. if blinds are 20/40, raise 200),
then at your discretion, if the flop favours you, put the rest of your money in on the flop (short handed play style).
The idea here is to try to get someone heads up and take all their chips to double up or bust.
If you do double up, don’t get trigger happy and loosen up, stick to the strategy and keep playing tight-aggressive at the low blinds. You can limp with AK, AQ, AJs KJs, QTs, TT, 99, 88 77 and see if the flop favours you, if it does, bet heavily.
OBJECTIVE: Break even or double up.
B. Middle stages, blinds 50/100 ~ 100/200
In my opinion, this is where the game is won. If you were not lucky enough to score some chips in the early stages, this is the point at which you should start loosening up and making plays. At these blinds, usually 1 to 3 players have been knocked out and the majority of players at the table are tight players, it’s up to you to observe which players are weak-tight and which players are tight-aggressive (you can do this by monitoring their starting hand selection and the positions they played their previous hands from). You should try to get into small pots with weak-tight players here as they are more inclined to fold if they hit nothing or very little on the flop; and you can win nice 300-500 chip pots from them due to the blinds. Try to steal from these players by betting against them when you are in a hand, even if you hit nothing as long as you have position on them. Don’t overcook it though, because if they do call, they may have something and you can happily check the rest of the way through. Try to see a flop with good hands here, like AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AK, AQ, AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, KT, QT, JT, K9, Q9, J9, Pocket pairs — any of these hands SUITED is better, you can call a raise with them if they are suited.
OBJECTIVE: try to get to at least 2000+ chips on a 9 seater and 1500+ on a 5 seater.
C. Late stages, 5 or less players left on a 9 seater, 4 players or less at big blinds on a 5 seater.
If you were lucky enough to work your way through the middle stages, you will either approaching the bubble (1 before paying positions) or already be in the top 3 based on how aggressive the players at your table were.
In this phase of the game, you need to decide where you are; whether you are a big stack, medium stack or short stack.
Hopefully not a short stack (if so, I pray for you). If you are a big stack, try to put the short stacked players all in when they are in the blinds if you are holding any Ace and any pocket pair. Play against medium stacks with caution unless you have a premium hand, in which case, you can happily go ahead and bully them. They wouldn’t want to get into a big hand with you as you have the chip power. If you are a medium stack, try to stay clear of big pots unless you are holding a premium hand, in which case you should put pressure on everyone.
If you are a short stack, go all in with any Ace, any two face cards, and any pocket pair, even any suited cards should be worth a shot if you are in the small blind and going out soon anyway.
OBJECTIVE: Survive or thrive — Medium stack (try to survive, play against short stacks and only against big stack when you have a solid hand), Big stack (take it easy and enjoy raising when you have quality cards), Short stack (get in there and hope for the best).
D. Top 3
You can try to play this out if you want, but at the end of the day it’s mostly about luck heads up.
I normally go all in with any Ace and any pocket pair here and fold everything else.
Its so easy to be bluffed here, which is why I choose to get my money in hopefully with the best hand and hope it holds up. If you are card dead in the top 3 ie. not picking up any aces, face cards or pocket pairs, then you can try limping into a hand from the button and going all in on the flop if the flop is checked to you, regardless of what you hold. You’re in the money anyway, so this would be your best option to try and advance with bad cards in the top 3.
OBJECTIVE: Try to get all your chips in the middle with a decent hand (Any ace, pocket pair or two face cards) and hope for the best, or fold — you would be surprised how many blinds you can steal this way.
