What is a Raid Mission in SOTNW? How do I participate in this mission? What is the reward for completing a raid mission? The answers are here in this guide created by wittlekittycatgoBOOM with additional data from SOTNW Wiki.

RAID MISSIONS

<—- INTRODUCTION —->

This is a guide to know everything about what is called a “RAID MISSION”. Here you will know what it is, why we need it, FAQS etc etc..
The purposes of making this guide is to help beginning SOTNW or GE players who want to widen their knowledge about this topic, hopefully share the information we attained that others didn’t, and to be able to fully strip any doubts and questions off people about this topic.

<—-DEFINITION—->

What is a “RAID MISSION”?

Basically it is an in-game event activated by an item under the market category “SUMMON ITEM”. You can identify one easy by looking at the name of the item

EXAMPLE:
Mission: Interchange Level 1

raiditem

<—-EXPLANATION—->

What is so special about this item that this needs to be discussed?

Well the in-game event is narrowed down to terms of a simple “mini-game”, or so to speak. During this event you will be given a certain task depending on which RAID MISSION ITEM you used (for example: Destroy all enemy camps). You are given a TIME LIMIT to complete your task but it is not as simple as it seems (to most beginning raiders). You will have to go through many monsters and what is to be called “RAID BOSSES”. These enemies you will face drop items ranging from poor to very good prices, some you will find useful and some you won’t. It is both fun and a good source of income IMHO.

Upon completing your mission you will be warped back to your original spot having what is called a “MISSION CHEST” presented to you as a reward. Each mission has a set of rewards differing from what mission you complete 1. Some are rare and expensive, some are not, some are useful, some are not. BE SURE TO OPEN YOUR CHEST IMMEDIATELY. After 15 seconds or so you will be brought back to the map where you used the RAID MISSION ITEM..

<—-INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL—->

Now that I know what it is and I have a bunch of them, how do I use these?

SIMPLE: Just double click the item and a post will pop up entering you in what is called the “LOBBY”. Each Raid mission contains a certain amount of slots which other families can join in on this event depending on the mission and level of mission (YOU HEARD ME THIS CAN BE MULTI-PLAYER!! WOOT!! Oh and players who want to join is click the mission post as if you went into a warp portal.). You will be given a certain amount of time before the mission starts automatically but of course you can start it manually by pressing start.

<—-FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS—->

We killed the raid boss, and the boss dropped 4 items and about 20 people participated in the raid. Who should get items?

  1. The best way to distribute the items among the players is by using Fireworks to get random numbers(fireworks produce a random number from 1 to 13); the player with the highest number will get the bided item. Note that this way is sometimes unfair, since a player that didn’t do much can get a drop. So the best way is doing it with the next method.
  2. For Clans: You can use a raid point system, and let the leader give items to the players that need them. See Raid point system.
  3. The player that’s tanking will be priority when selecting the items.
  4. If the raid is being completed by 2 or more clans, use the Fireworks first; then distribute the items to the members using the Raid point system.

Can I solo a raid boss?

Yes, 2 of the high level bosses can be soloed if you have the right equipment. Also the low level dungeon bosses count as raid bosses if you are near their level, so you can solo those with enough level.

The boss didn’t spawn, what happened?

The spawn time of each raid boss is different; some of them only spawn 2 times a day. Check their guides for more info.

-OMG I DIDN’T OPEN MY CHEST *sob* what can I do with the key now?
Do not worry, the key will remain in you inventory until next successful mission
