Rift – Planes of Telara MMORPG

Rift is a MMORPG set in medieval-fantasy world and is developed and published by Trion Worlds. Trion Worlds has announced that the Open Beta for RIFT will be available on February 15th. The beta will be available for six days for players to try out the world of Telara. This is one of the biggest gaming announcements since poker for Iphone apps were released a couple of weeks ago.

Rift is a MMORPG game where players will battle on the Planes of Telara against hordes of enemies that will be transported to the world via rifts. The game will be dynamic with new treasure and new monsters unveiled on a regular basis. Also expect some PvP and PvE gameplay.

The new beta phase will be called “Telara the Merciless.” Much like an online poker room, this game will have non-stop action. The following was a brief blurb from Trion regarding the game:

“A tireless and unending horde, invaders from the planes continue their assault on Telara. The final (beta) battle is at hand and the fate of the planet depends on the courage and strength of Telaras champions. Become one of the Ascended and fight for a world that’s on the brink of losing all hope.”
