Sword of the new worlds offers players a chance to vote the leaders of each SOTNW server thanks to the Election System. .This guide shows how players can vote and how to get elected in a specific position (President, Duke, Chancellor). Thanks to SOTNW Wiki and sGE Site for this guide.

Elections: Duke & President
Start campaigning early to ensure your victory in becoming the Duke or President for your respective servers!
Clan leaders can only register their clans when election starts at their respective political room (Reception Hall for Royalist and House of freedom for Republican).
After that any member with family level 10 or higher can go down to the Voting Box located though out every cites (Cite de Reboldoeux, Port of Coimbra or City of Auch) and vote for the clan leader of their choice.
Once the election has concluded, the winners will be announced to everyone in the server and you can go down to the Election Manager found at the Reception Hall (Royalist) located at Cite de Reboldoeux or Villa de Libertad (Republican) located at City of Auch to view the top 3 clans that took part in the election and the amount of votes they acquired.
The Chancellor
Having won the election is not enough.The Duke and the President will then need to win the support of various clans to choose a politica party – The Duke will need to persuade clans to join The Royalists while the President will need to persuade clans to join The Republicans.
The Chancellor will be appointed on a weekly basis. During the weekly colony wars, the political party which has the most colonies for that week would be ruling party. The ruling party’s leader (Duke or President) would then be appointed as The Chancellor.
E.g. If the total number number of colonies for all the Royalists clans exceed that of the total number of colonies for all the Republican factions, the Duke would be appointed the Chancellor.

Q) How do I register my clan for the election?
A) Your clan has to be level 52 and has already chosen a faction (Royalist or Republican), then go down to the Reception Hall (Royalist) located at Cite de Reboldoeux or House of Freedom (Republican) located at City of Auch to register your clan.
Q) How does the election work?
A) Travel down to any Voting Box in any cities (Cite de Reboldoeux, Port of Coimbra or City of Auch) and vote for the clan of your choice. However, do take note that you need to belong to a clan which is level 52 and has already chosen a faction (Royalist or Republican) and you can only vote for clans which belongs to the same faction as your clan.
Q) Who is the Duke and President?
A) The Duke is the leader of the Royalist faction which won the election while the President is the leader of the Republican faction which won the election.
Q) What is the role of the Duke and President?
A) The role of the Duke and President is to campaign and persuade factions to join their political parties in order to have the most colonies every week.
Q) When will the position of Duke and President change?
A) The position of the Duke and President will be changed to another person when the election starts every month.
Q) What are the benefits of becoming the Duke or President?
A) The Duke will receive a back costume, The Shield of Peace, while the President will receive a back costume, The Sword of Freedom. They will also have a chance in becoming the Chancellor depending on the outcome of the Colony War for the week.
If the Royalists faction gain the most colonies, the Duke will become the Chancellor. If the Republican faction gain the most colonies, the President will become the Chancellor.
Q) What about the market tax? Who will get it?
A) After every colony reset, the leader of each clan will receive 24 white gold bars for each colony they own, These bars can then be sold to an npc for 1mil each.
Q) How do I become the Chancellor?
A) The Chancellor will be chosen when the following conditions are met,
1. You have to be either the Duke or the President,
2. The political party that has the most colonies for the week.
For example, if the Royalist has the most colonies for this week, the Duke will become the Chancellor and if the Republican has the most colonies for the following week, the President will become the Chancellor.
Q) If I am the Chancellor, what do I do with the market tax?
A) Although it is up to your discretion how you want to use the taxes you won, it would be advisable to share this money with the clans who have helped you to win the position of Chancellor.
Q) I’m the Duke / President / Chancellor and I didn’t receive the reward that I’m supposed to receive.
A) The reward for successfully becoming the Duke / President / Chancellor will only be given out every Thursday after the weekly maintenance.
