Grand Chase Online Game Dark Assasin Guide
Spudd’s Epic Guide to Grand Chase Dark Assassin!
Do why Dark Assassin? At a glance, it looks like a cool job to use; I mean, come on people, CLAWS! But you’ve just unlocked it, and you’re saying to yourself, “Wow, this is the worst 3rd job ever! First skill does no damage, he has no decent infinite combos for dungeoning, and his dash isn’t even that fast.” These are all true, but DA has far more to it than that.
Yeah, the ground dashes are slow, but you’ll almost never use them, because his AIR dashes are where it’s at! The cool thing about DA is his air dashes, hands down, here’s why:
-He can dash in literally any direction.
-His dashes are fast, and long distance.
-You can perform as many (horizontal) dashes as you want in one jump, simply by pressing Z in between dashes.
-The dash effects are just awesome looking.
What’s more, he can become invisible. Now don’t mix that up, I said invisible, not invincible, it’s important that you don’t forget that, but I’ll come to that later. So, without further ado, the ultimate guide to Dark Assassin!

Skills
/ Invisible /
Basic description: You become invisible for 15 seconds, or if you attack someone. After the skill comes off, you have double attack power for 3 seconds.
Common issues:
This is a pretty nifty skill, but I see it used wrong all the time. People seem to get the idea that being invisible means they’re practically invincible, and it’s that thinking than makes them even more vulnerable with it on than they were before. Sneaking around is fun, but keep in mind that people can see:
-Your dashing effects, including what direction they lead in.
-Dust clouds on the ground that appears when you fall heavily.
-Any of your attacks.
-Your pet when it attacks.
-Emoticons.
Any of these will reveal your general location, and with a lot of the wide range 3 bar skills, that’s all it takes. So even though you’re somewhat hard to find, stay on your toes.
Combos using this skill:
Here’s where the fun part is. Notice the three seconds of increased attack power when you come out of invisibility, it doesn’t sound like much, but it’s all you really need. If you can pull out a hypersonic step or unlimited blade while invisible, you will come out of it when you make contact, meaning after the initial hit, the rest of the skill will do double damage, likely finishing off your foe.
Another neat trick, invisible makes an excellent delay grab skill. Use it close to an opponent; you’ll come out of the delay sooner than they will. Use that little gap to dash into them, and grab ‘em, to take an easy chunk of HP.
Dungeon tip:
Avoid using this skill. The invisibility proves practically useless, and unlike in PvP, you don’t lose the effect when you attack, so combining it with hypersonic step does you no good.
/Hypersonic Step/
Basic description: Slowly you advance forward, clawing rapidly at short distance in front of you. Does decent damage if you hit directly.
Common issues:
Do not over estimate the range of this skill, you won’t move very far at all. You will move a little, so you don’t need to be within grabbing distance, but that is better, as every moment you are moving forward without hitting your opponent, you’re wasting potential damage.
Combos using this skill:
I said above, that an invisible > hypersonic combo works well, but I should also mention that the inverse can be equally effective. While you miss out on the double damage by doing hypersonic first, if you interrupt the skill midway with invisible, you can get in a delay grab, doing a very nice amount of total damage.
/ Unlimited Blade /
Basic description: Unleash a painfully long frenzy of slashes. You start on one side of the opponent, and halfway through the skill, you move to the back.
Common issues:
This skill is LONG, giving your opponent lots of time to move behind you, and start charging MP for their own 3 bar skill, so be careful using this, you really don’t want to miss with it. If you do hit, it does some nice damage, though it’s a little weak as far as 3 bar skills go, because to do the best damage, you need to hit with the whole thing, and that’s hard.
Using it effectively:
Because of the movement mid skill, it’s good for hurting full groups of people. If you have three players hiding out in the same spot, this is a good thing to have ready. Also keep in mind that you can move ever so slightly by holding arrows during the skill; it doesn’t seem like much, but it can really help you catch people in the skill, or keep someone within range of you.

b For all intents and purposes, we’ll assume you’re facing an opponent who is to the right of you.
/ Basic Combo: Z – Z – Z /
A relatively short combo, not much to it. Very nice when used in succession for juggling in dungeons.
/ Double Attack: Z – Z – Z – > > /
This combo works nice, but it’s hard to hit with that extra attack in most cases.
/ Critical Attack: Z – Z – ^^ /
A very effective and essential combo to both PvP, as well as dungeons. In PvP, you can avoid getting countered by pets or being attacked by other team members during your combos and it does awesome damage to boot. In dungeons, it is also great for avoiding attacks, especially from bosses. Use this one often.
/ Dash Attack: >> – Z – Z – Z /
On the surface, not that great, but it does serve a purpose. It is strangely enough, one of DA’s few attacks you can do right off the bat that kills someone in fatal. The combos all work, but usually you can’t hit with the whole thing, whereas with the first hit from this dash attack, they’re dead. It does roughly as much damage as the basic combo, so nothing real special there, though the animation on this move is kind of cool.
