MAFIA WARS LEVEL FAST GUIDE
READ THIS FIRST:It is violation of ToS to access Mafia Wars from multiple accounts in the same social network. However, nowhere in this guide is this suggested or referred to. If you find a part where I even remotely advocate the violation of this ToS in the guide, please send me a PM.
Edit: Changed poker game ratio to fit the recent nerf, everything is still essentially the same
Hello, this is my guide how you can build a character from scratch and level it into thousands in matter of days, no exploits, no paying money, no waiting for energy.
As most veteran players already guess, this is gonna be a Support Character not a fighting character. That means while it will be weak for fighting, it can support a mafia with thousands of best loot in the game, giving the fighters in that mafia a great advantage over fighters with no support of best loot. You will also be able to support your mafia master consumable requiring jobs with ease if they are having trouble with them.
WARNING: This strategy is somewhat math and calculations involved so if this scares you, you won’t get the best effect from it. As of this moment my character I levelled this way has over 200,000 jobs completed so I’m not gonna go through how I selected each and every job, I will explain how to select jobs generally but that requires you calculating stuff.
Preparation:
Be a level 2 fearless. Or a level 500 fearless with no points in other than energy. Fearless is the only character type that can be promoted as wheelman, which means you will have 5% chance to jobs for 0 energy cost. Might not sound impressive at first but when you think about it, by level 1000 you have probably done 50,000-100,000 jobs and making 2,500-5,000 of those free is so much saved energy that a maniac would require months to regenerate it.
Now for the hard part:
You need 2 people to promote you as both, top mafia mastermind and top mafia wheelman.
While it shouldn’t take you long to really deserve these positions, you need them right from the start. Ask your friends in Facebook who either don’t play MW or don’t care about who they have in their top mafia to promote you. You have friends in your facebook, right?
You also need a level 299+ fearless character and a character with over 15,000 jobs completed in your mafia so you can promote them in YOUR top mafia to get 11% more exp bonus on jobs and -11% energy cost on jobs. Just read through the add me forums’ posts to find these.
From this point on, I assume all preparations are set for you.
Phase 1
Phase 1 is mastering all jobs in the game. Mastering all the jobs gives you a few hundred bonus profile points, gives you much better chances to obtain loot and most importantly gives you a 5% exp bonus on all jobs done.
My guide’s focus isn’t on the first 250 levels and mastering all jobs, I believe there is a more detailed guide how to do this in the Mafioso Training Grounds, so I will just explain how to generally master jobs fast in one session:
1. Put all points in energy, from achievements, from job mastery, from the extra GF points, from levelling. ALL. It is extremely important especially in the beginning. No attack, no stamina, no defense, no health, ENERGY.
2. Don’t leave energy behind, if you need 1 exp for level and you still have 15 energy, do a job that requires the most energy but not over 15 and all the extra exp will be carried to the next level and you will have a head start.
3. Dump your stamina on much weaker opponents (this means smaller mafia size)when it gets refilled from each level, preferably on already iced accounts so they can’t retaliate.
4. In the first 25 levels, only use your energy on jobs that you haven’t mastered. For new accounts without any support of collections and achievements, and bad luck with wheelman+mastermind procs, you might have to wait for energy to do this.
5. When you hit level 25, job selection starts to play a role. You will have so good ratio on your exp required per energy that it is smart to use this temporary situation to do jobs with bad ratio and even collect consumables.
6. From now on it should be smooth sailing, with only consumables in your way. Everytime your ratio reaches 1.25, you should switch to Rob an Electronics Store job, you will need a lot of these consumables and doing this job before your ratio is 1.25 will force you to wait for energy and you can’t speed level.
To calculate your ratio, subtract your current exp from your exp required for next level and divide it by the amount of energy you have. For example:
I am level 50, I have done some jobs with good ratio. My current exp is 15,725 and the required exp for next level is 16,257. I have 300 energy left.
(16257 – 15726) / 300 = 1.77
You can do jobs that have higher than 1.77 ratio, so no electronics store in this example.
Most jobs you have to master in this phase have ratio of 1.00 – 1.85~ .. so keep track of it.
7. CUBA: You should start cuba after you have mastered underboss at earliest, I’d recommend after having mastered boss though. The reason is that you will not buy business in cuba before mastering all jobs in there, so you can’t get politico corrupto. By the time you have mastered boss, all the fights you did should have given you enough high end loot to trade for the politicos.
The way to master cuba, without having to wait for your business to make money, is to not buy any business in the first place. You start making money with the first job that doesn’t require anything to do, use the money gained from mastering the first job to buy requirements to do second job. Master the second job, sell loot required to do second job, and buy requirements for third job. Rinse and repeat until you have everything mastered.
Phase 2
So now you have everything mastered, you are probably level 200-350 depending a lot on how much help you got from others with consumables. Your ratio for level can be as low as 1.90!
So you can go ahead and spam virtually any high end loot job like there is no tomorrow, level up from it, get an energy refill from the level up, and do it again. However you do this for 200 next levels or whatever, your ratio will quickly reach a point where you can’t speed level anymore and your career as a support character will be over.
And now we get to the real focus of my guide, what to do when phase 2 starts, so you can level into thousands and have potential to collect new added loot in the game in hours.
Short version, this:

Long version:
As hinted in the picture, you should collect tons of consumables for the job ‘Run an Illegal Poker game’.
The jobs are 14 exp for 8 energy, I.E 1.75 ratio. Since they have really low energy cost we can calculate in the wheelman and mastermind procs effect on the ratio because you will do these jobs so many times that the procs will average out really fast.
1.75 * 1.05 * 1.025 = 1.88
To be on the safe side, I usually switch to these jobs when my ratio has reached 1.80.
I.E. Phase 2 starts, you collect some guerrilla squads, notice your ratio has reached 1.80. Switch to collecting reagents for the rest of the level. Level up. Collect Guerrilla Squads, notice ratio going to 1.80, and switch to colleting reagents until level up again. This means you are using energy that would otherwise be wasted (if you require 1.80 ratio for your level but do jobs with 2.05 ratio, you waste a lot of energy) to collect these reagents.
Energy Packs:
Since you don’t need energy packs to level up, the only use for them is collecting these reagents. If you have Energy Pack available, start a fresh level. Demote your mastermind.
Collect reagents until you run out of energy. Use energy pack, and collect some more until you are like 15 exp from reaching a level. Promote your Mastermind back. Go do the Enforcer Boss fight, and you will get a huge head start on your exp for the next level, in the best case so good that you can level the new level from the reagent collecting job alone.
So you have reached now level 700+ while collecting loot and these reagents which you should own probably hundreds of thousands. When you calculate your ratio for level it should be around 2.15 now. The best job not counting poker game, is 2.11, so you would need to get lucky with mastermind+wheelman procs to keep speed levelling. However, the ‘Run an Illegal Poker Game’ is 2.24 ratio of exp/energy!. Because you already have the reagents required for it in so ridicilous amounts, you don’t have to worry about them at all, for now.
What you do now, is to do the poker game job, and your ratio of 2.15 will quickly become 2.05 and then switch to collecting guerrilla squads(or whatever loot you want to collect, 2.05 is for guerrilla squad). And when you reach 1.80 again, collect the reagents, you will still get more of them back than the Poker Game used in the start of the level.
Phase 3
Phase 3 is simply the phase where you are so high level that the only way to keep speed levelling is to use poker game in the start of the levels to fix your ratio. You will be glad you have thousands of reagents in reserve when you start this phase
The cycle of job selections in this phase:
- Run an Illegal Poker Game until ratio reaches a point where you can do the good jobs:
*Make arragements for a visiting don for money achievements
*Cuba padrino/cacique jobs for high end loot
- Do the above jobs until your ratio has reached 1.80 and switch to collecting reagents for rest of the level.
