MMORPG game Entropia Planets held its auction for the space ship “Crystal Palace”. Knowing that it’s no big deal since they’ll just use in-game cash, you got it wrong. The PED (Planet Entropia Dollars) cash they’ll be using is convertible to real cash as in real moolah. The kind of moolah you get by investing blood, sweat and tears. Let’s see how the auction goes.
After the announcement that Crystal Palace would go up for sale, discussion in the community broke out instantly. “How much would it go for?”, “I wonder what the taxrates will be set to. What do YOU think?” and “Who do YOU think will win it?” were heard everywhere.
Once the deed hit auction (Dec 14th, at 19:02:58 Calypso time), a 1 PED bid was swiftly made by “Sunab Kal Naverith”. The bid was doubled the same minute by “pajjaz kamala azk”, and went to 3 PEDs the next after a bid by “Seth Zozma Alexander”.
The auction finally ended with the final bid of 3,300,000 PEDs made by “Buzz Erik Lightyear” at 23:01 Calypso time, thus finalizing an incredibly exciting auction.

Ok pause, then breathe in a paper bag and….”HOLY MACARONI”! Is this guy some kind of secret millionaire or something? Think of how many real life items you can buy with that cash! You can buy a house, car and even a wife with that kind of money. Or it could be possible that there’s some kind of conspiracy to generate buzz to the mmorpg game without paying tons of cash for advertising. It’s gonna be a catchy slogan, “The game is soo addicting that some fool would actually pay $330,000 for some space ship”. That would definitely work.
