The Grand Theft Auto 4 Game was created with a huge 100 Million dollar budget. Officially, that makes GTA 4 the most expensive videogame ever made. Previously that title was enjoyed for 10 years by Shen Mue of the defunct DreamCast console with 70 million dollar budget.

Why did GTA 4 cost that much? Throw in 1,000 people working on the game for 3 years. Then there’s 2,000 people on payroll in order to obtain recording and publishing rights. Rockstar games apparently paid $5000 per musical composition and master copy. Finally, the marketing which essential in making the game a success.
